Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about setting up, configuring, and operating your restaurant with OrderGo.

What devices do I need to run OrderGo?

You can run OrderGo on any standard web-enabled device: Android phones/tablets, Apple iPads/iPhones, laptops, Windows PCs, or touch POS terminals. No proprietary or locked hardware is required.

Do customers need to download an app to scan the QR code?

No. The menu opens immediately in the customer's default mobile browser (Safari, Chrome, etc.) as a Progressive Web App (PWA) with sub-second load times.

What happens if the internet goes down?

OrderGo's POS is built with local caching and offline-first synchronization. Waiters can continue inputting orders and printing KOTs locally over the restaurant's local Wi-Fi router. As soon as internet connectivity is restored, all data automatically syncs with the cloud.

Which thermal receipt printers are supported?

OrderGo supports all standard ESC/POS 58mm (2-inch) and 80mm (3-inch) printers connecting via:

  • Bluetooth
  • Network Ethernet (LAN / Wi-Fi)
  • USB / Direct Serial

How do customer payments work?

OrderGo supports both direct cashier billing (Cash, Card swipe, external EDC) and dynamic UPI QR codes. When dynamic UPI QR is enabled, the guest's screen or printed receipt generates a unique QR code containing the exact bill amount for instant payment reconciliation.
