Quickstart: Launch Your Restaurant in 5 Minutes

This step-by-step guide will walk you through setting up your restaurant on OrderGo from scratch. By the end of this tutorial, your digital menu will be live, your table QR codes will be ready to print, and your POS register will be active for orders.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have:

1. An active OrderGo account (if you don't have one, sign up here).
2. A basic digital copy of your restaurant menu (categories, item names, prices, and tax rates).

Step 1: Configure Restaurant Profile & Currency

1. Log in to your OrderGo Dashboard.
2. Navigate to Settings → Restaurant Details.
3. Enter your restaurant name, contact phone number, address, and upload your restaurant logo.
4. Select your Billing Currency (e.g., INR (₹), USD ($), AED) and configure your standard tax rate (e.g., 5% GST).

Step 2: Create Dining Areas & Tables

OrderGo allows you to organize your venue into sections (e.g., Main Hall, Rooftop, Patio, AC Section):

1. Go to Table Management → Sections.
2. Click + Add Section and enter the section name.
3. Click + Add Tables to generate tables with custom numbers or names (e.g., Table 1 to Table 20).
4. OrderGo automatically creates unique, cryptographically secure QR links for each table.

Step 3: Add Menu Categories & Items

Build your digital menu with high-resolution imagery and customizable item variants:

1. Navigate to Menu → Categories and click + Add Category (e.g., Starters, Wood-fired Pizzas, Beverages, Desserts).
2. Click into any category and click + Add Item:
   • Name: e.g., Margherita Pizza
   • Price: e.g., 350
   • Food Type: Select Veg, Non-Veg, or Egg.
   • Modifiers/Add-ons: Add optional extras (e.g., Extra Cheese +₹50, Gluten-Free Crust +₹80).
   • Description & Photo: Upload a mouth-watering dish photo to boost guest conversions.

Step 4: Download & Print Table QR Codes

1. Navigate to QR Management.
2. Select your desired design template (e.g., Standee tent card, table sticker, or laminated card).
3. Click Download All QR Codes (PDF / PNG).
4. Print and place the QR codes on their corresponding tables.

Step 5: Place Your First Test Order

1. Open your smartphone camera and scan one of your table QR codes.
2. The OrderGo mobile web menu will open instantly (no app download required).
3. Add a test item to your cart and tap Place Order.
4. Switch to your OrderGo Dashboard → Live Orders / KDS to watch the order arrive in real-time with an audible chime!
